January 13, 2009 - Rob Domico, Madison River Anglers Outfitters. Rob, owner of the Orvis-Endorsed shop with 7 guides serving Central NC fly fishers, will talk with us about his shop’s hottest wintertime fishing opportunity, night-time flyfishing for Striped Bass on Lake Norman. This is very similar to the night-time snook fishing in Florida. This sounds like the chance to fill a winter fishing void for many of us, and it is close to home. February 10, 2009 - Jim Casada, Author, Editor, Photographer, Consultant, Collector, and Sporting Historian. One of Nat Greene’s most entertaining and popular speakers, Jim will share with us the subject of his latest project, Fly Fishing in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. Jim will cover every stream in the park, so this book will likely become the definitive guide to fishing in the Park. Jim told me that this is his most special project to date and the one closest to his heart. Flyfishers will not want to miss this meeting. March 10, 2009 - Jim Brady, Nat Greene Club Member, Banquet Emcee. Jim will kick off the Roanoke River Shad and Striper season with an entertaining and informative presentation on tactics, tips, flys, equipment/rigging, and boats for the Roanoke River.
